Hey,

I've basically been a leisurely sportsbook gambler over the last few years, nothing too serious. I'm starting to get into now with a bit more seriousness, What I need some advice/help on is how to organize my betting. Does anyone have an excel templates or any advice on the subject?

Thanks.:bigfinger

Yeah, we really need to get that one back on the 2nd page & the "good one" on the main page. Seems to happen everytime there's a software upgrade.

Welcome GMC. Hope you like what you find here. As far as advice, I'd just say to keep your units at 1-3% of your bankroll and to not chase when things get shitty. If you can follow those points, you're way ahead of the game.

Since you are relatively new to sportsbetting, one of the most important things you should do is establish a bankroll for betting only that you can afford to lose. Once established, you should consider flat betting a dollar amount that should be approximately 1% of your bankroll. Example: Bankroll is $1000. Each bet should be $10. This will protect your bankroll against any long losing streaks. As you progress in experience, you can consider varying your bets as TTinco stated above. For record keeping, you can use Excel with the dates, wager, amount, win/loss, and running total of your bankroll so you see how you're doing. Hope that helps a little.

I find having more on the winners and less on the losers saves a lot of meaningless work like Money management and logging bets. :drink:

Hey, yeah, I made the same 'mistake',
We should give the guy a break.
They do, at first look similar,
But, that finger, looks familiar.

I do believe he meant to use the 'waving-non-finger' emoticon. I think he did, because it happened to me.

Point is =
I quickly used the one on the first page,
but then my friendly wave, turned into road rage!

I think he meant the good bro, not the other bro,
So, we think he meant well, but can't really know.

So, here are the brothers, one nice, one not so nice.
When you post these twins, you better look twice.
:howdy: :bigfinger My poetry sucks. heh.
